How to Play Tongits?

1. Understanding the Deck
Tongits uses a standard 52-card deck without jokers. Each player receives 12 cards, while the dealer gets 13. The objective is to form valid sets (three or four cards of the same rank) or runs (three or more consecutive cards of the same suit).
2. Drawing and Discarding
On your turn, draw one card from the draw pile or pick up the top discard. Then, discard one card from your hand. Strategy involves knowing which cards to keep and which to discard to complete your combinations.
3. Winning the Game
Win by "Tongits" (going out with all cards in valid combinations), "Draw" (when the draw pile is exhausted), or by having the lowest point value in your hand. Face cards are worth 10 points, aces are 1 point, and number cards are face value.
4. Strategic Tips
Pay attention to what opponents pick up from the discard pile. Hold onto cards that can form multiple combinations. Don't be afraid to "sapaw" (connect to an opponent's revealed set) to reduce your hand's point value.
